Trinity Cafe Arts afternoon – wow!
Trinity College held a ‘Cafe Arts showcase’ in the community hall on Wednesday 14th of September.
It was an amazing collection of art works performed and displayed for the community comprising music, dance, drama, poetry, visual art and graphic design.
The audience was treated to many performances of very high standard including the Early Learning group playing hand made instruments and a dance piece choreographed and performed by the girls from years 3 to 9.
Just before the afternoon display in the hall began, the parents and visitors enjoyed an amazing afternoon tea and a cafe atmosphere to relax and settle in to watch the show.
We enjoyed Macbeth poetry from the senior school students, and piano items from three junior students. There was also some impressive original piano compositions and covers from the senior students performed in a three piece band.
The afternoon began with an outside display of rockets made by the Middle School, that shot up in the air a long way before landing spectacularly near by, for the crowd to enjoy. Then after an explosive piano piece in the hall the Middle and Junior School body percussion ensemble played a piece using their voices, hands and legs.
There was also a display of artworks ranging from weaving, collage, painting, drawing and lots more! On the large screen we saw some creative Graphic design works as you can see in photos on this page.

It was a wonderful afternoon celebration of creative works from the students at the college.
We look forward to more in the future! Well done to all the students for taking part and sharing your gifts with us all!
“Even the littlest and weakest person has a gift for the community, and that gift must be honoured. Each one of us is very different one f
rom the other. But all together we are like a symphony, an orchestra; all together we make up a beautiful bouquet of flowers.” Jean Vanier (From brokenness to community)
